Report hammers myth that more guns cause more crime

    ¬*

How this relates to the fizzling campaign by the Brady Bunch and Washington CeaseFire against open carry at Starbucks

    ¬*
"This morning‚Äôs report carried by MSNBC.com headlined ‚ÄúRecord numbers now licensed to pack heat‚ÄĚ further confirms what gun rights activists have been arguing for years: More guns in private hands does not equate to more homicides."

another good article, Dave... by the way I read the msnbc article as well and theres a poll on the third page we all should participate in....
I aim with my eye... I shoot with my mind... I kill with my heart....
    - The Gunslinger's Litany (paraphrased)

It has been brought to my attention that the stick figure decals on
the back windows of vehicles are NOT pedestrian 'kill' scores, but are
actually meant to represent family members. I'll be removing mine
ASAP to avoid any further confusion.........

First comes smiles, then lies. Last is gunfire.

This is good to see and hear especially from a news source as MSNBC, while we all have felt this way for a very long time, it is getting the word out that the anti's fear mongering is just that and with out merit.

There is a link on the second page at MSNBC with our very own Marty Hayes from Firearms Academy of Seattle is interviewed.

    Thanks Dave.

I read the msnbc story this morning.

I was hoping the conclusion that would be reached after the correlation between an increase in gun ownership and the decrease in violent crime is an uptick in non violent crime, such as identity theft. I am not sure that it is supported but if anecdotal evidence of non confrontational crimes saw an increase it could be said that criminals are avoiding confrontation out of fear of coming across legally armed citizens.
