I didn't even make it 20 steps from the car and I was told I would not be granted access with my firearm told guy it wasn't posted he said they didn't have to? I said it was dumb lol and he agreed saying he was an arms advacate and has his ccw as he gestured to his wasteband. Insane that someone working at costco and concealing is telling me I can't OC haha love it. Anyone know what sams clubs rules are I may have to change my membership....

Sam's Club is owned by Walmart and I believe Walmart corporate policy is to follow state law, whereas Costco corporate policy is that guns are banned.

I believe you can get a complete refund of your membership dues from Costco up until the the day you need to renew.

Just got out of a meeting with the costco whse mgrs and we are free to carry our fire arms at any costco and received a really good apology. They will be informing their associates of their policy so I don't have to cancel my membership and give the staff here a big thumbs up !!!

Maybe you found another uninformed employee at that particular store? I shop OC regularly in NLV at big box stores: Costco on Decatur, Sam's Club on Craig Rd, and Wal Mart on Craig Rd. Chatted with staff about self defense at all of them, never a mention about store policy. (maybe I'm the one finding uninformed employees?)

Whoops, simultaneous posts. Good job on helping to get staff on track!

My wife drags me to the Costco on Marks behind Galleria Mall all the time and we never had an issue. No one ever gaveus a second look. Surprised to hear there was a problem.

That's where we were! The meat mgr stopped us on the way in and said no carry he must have been on a smoke break or something? Couldn't leave without saying something and ended up on a good note. They will be having a meeting to inform ALL of their associates of company oc policy.....

They do have some strange things going on down in Virginia...lol...I just came back from Costco here in Henderson behinde Home depot....
and just to see what would happen I strapped on my 1911 ....I had a lot of looks, but no one challenged me.....

It did make me feel a bit uncomfortable with every one looking at me though....I have come to realize, I do not have any problems with myself, and I know who i am, so i just dont relly need the attention....So on the way out i just un tucked my shirt......all is well....

Most Costco stores in Arizona are posted no firearms. Whereas, Walmart and Sams Club allow firearms.

Interesting. The Sparks, NV Costco is posted no firearms permitted.

I did see an OC'er in there once, talking to an employee (manager?). Of course the OC'er had a uniform and a badge.

Is this policy for that store only or company wide?

im guessing "at any costco" means company wide?

I've OC'ed several times at the Charleston & 215 Costco without any employees saying anything. I did get a few :what:looks from some people but most were either oblivious or just didn't care.
