Check the code of conduct posters. I know that at Lynnhaven Mall it says no firearms or weapons, but its very small print and at the bottom. You can also check their web site.

In the mall proper you will be asked to leave and escorted out. On a bad day the mall cops may call real cops to do the escorting. (info gathered from talking to people that were asked to leave)

The restaurants and stores are a different story. I have OC-ed to Bailey's and Chipotle with no problem. I have also heard of others OC-ing to Dicks.

So the best way to OC is to enter the store you want to buy something from at their store-specific entrance (not general mall-entrance) and leave not giving money to stores that don't have their own entrance.

I try to give malls little of my money but do have two daughters so for their sake sometimes break my own rules. In some cases like Justice, their is a store in the mall and one up the street in a strip mall. I try to go to the one that I can OC to in general. My two cents.

I've found that if they have "Mall" in their name, they are not OC friendly.

So I avoid m'all.
Its fun looking for the signs saying no guns. Some have them in a font so small in a corner or a door I feel like I need a spell from Harry Potter to summon it out. Revealo Signago!

This weekend had to go to the Sears at Landmark mall looking at freezers and no problems at all until we get into the Appliance dept. The sales lady came over and I swear she squeaked. She said she got nervous when she saw i was "packing heat" My wife started laughing when we left the store.

Went to Pentagon City mall and had no problems there. Maybe because they are doing business and they don't notice or don't care. Oh no he has a gun wait I can get a commission on selling this 200 dollar perfume. Forget the gun

I OC in Dick's (if the weather is warm enough). I asked store mgmt about 18 months ago wha their policy was regarding OC, and was told that they have no problem with it. As there is (or wasn't at that time)no "posting" at the entrance from Dick's into the mall, I also asked about mall polcy. They (Dick's) replied that they didn't know what, if any, policy the mall had.

yeah, i work in dicks. The managers are totally laid back...as long as you are too, haha.

I will very often pick up my check with my sidearm on, and at first it was a little :what: on their part, but now its . I desensitized the managers and my coworkers. Very cool people.

We did have someone who worked in the lodge who was a little "confused". he doesnt work there anymore, but he even approached ME and tried to tell me i couldnt carry in Dicks. I laughed and laid it (the way things are) out for him. he was cool after that.

The reason why i started this thread was to see if anyone else had been tossed out because they were OC in the mall (i already knew about you, cabana ). I know how twitchy the mall security can be, especially if they are bored. A restroom stall out of toilet paper has them repelling off the walls.

Policy on their website says no guns.
Didn't stop a teenager a few years back from shooting up the place.
I don't have a reason to go to that (or any) mall but if I did and had a CHP I'd CC.
