For those of you who have and or carry 1911's. The standard extractor vs a PARA power extractor. anybody have and pro's and cons, or are they just hype?

Maybe you should post this questions on one of the thousands of 1911 forums. This isn't exactly the right forum for technical questions of this sort. :)

Get a C&S spring steel extractor, as per the original JMB design.

Neither Para nor AFTEC have yet managed to improve upon the wheel.
