The important thing is to pass it along to your children and have them pass the info along to their friends. The most disturbing thing is that those children didn't even have answers for questions such as, "What is the Constitution?", or, "What is the 2nd Amendment?"

Curious, I did my own checking and sure enough, asking 3 different kids questions such as these, I got the same responses, "I don't know." So I took it upon myself to educate them. It took some time and it took some effort to get them to comprehend the scope of our nations roots. That there weren't always neighborhoods, Walmarts or McDonalds. That the people of a young nation, fought and died for our freedoms that so many take for granted today. That a group of men crafted these documents to ensure that our country stayed the path.

2 of them questioned me, "How come they haven't taught us this in school?"

My answer to them, "Maybe you should be asking your teacher that question?"
