Figures... It's another DEMOCRAP !

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)
If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".

Well, I forwarded it.

White power!

Do you have to ask? Open carriers of course. Because we ruin it for everyone else, not the anti-liberty, socialist & fascist loving liberals who have blatantly violated their oaths of office. Domestic enemies...all of them! But its the patriots' fault for refusing to be silenced and cowered.

They've already scapegoated the democrat scum who proposed the legislation.

Why the rush to smear CGF? Doing so does not help any pro-2A/RKBA cause and just promotes more in-fighting.

It wasn't my intent to smear CGF. When I wrote this message I had in mind CGN. Give it time, when the scumbag who proposed this legislation speaks and makes one mention of UOC, "they" on CGN will pile on.

And I'm not promoting in-fighting by any means, but I am promoting the public shunning of so-called Pro-2A'ers who only support their CCW vision, and not all gun owners rights to carry as they choose. There can be a master plan and strategy, but they must support all gun owners right to carry as they choose. Anything less and they should be shunned, because anything less is not 2A.

Just keep in mind that being loud does not always equate to being right.
Correct. As those who support CCW but not open carry (in any form) are definitely not part of "the right people."

let me quote someone who I think sums up my stance on this

at some point the Pro-2A crowd is going to have to come to its own defense. If we cannot count on each other, then we're doomed to lose all our RKBA rights in this state. At some point, the Pro-2A crowd is going to have to say "even though I don't want to OC, I will defend those who do", just as much as the OC crowd is saying "we will defend the CCW crowd, even though we prefer OC." “Let us trust God, and our better judgment to set us right hereafter. United we stand, divided we fall. Let us not split into factions which must destroy that union upon which our existence hangs.” --Patrick Henry

Thanks OG. When I read the quote you posted, I thought "wow what a great quote." Then I clicked on the link you made and saw that it was mine and was actually embarrassed a little.

Hey,

This is SERIOUS. even the "Crossroads of the West Gun Show" people have emailed me about it.

CROSSROADS OF THE WEST GUN SHOWS

*SALT LAKE CITY * SAN FRANCISCO * SAN DIEGO * ORANGE COUNTY * PHOENIX * LAS VEGAS * RENO * ONTARIO * TUCSON * MESA

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LEGISLATIVE ALERT - IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED !!
This bill represents an immediate & serious threat to our continuing ability to purchase long guns without the ten-day wait and registration the bill would impose.

PROPOSED REGISTRATION OF RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS - OPPOSE!

AB 1810 (FEUER) Firearms
Assemblyman Michael Feuer, D-los Angeles, wants your rifles and shotguns registered!!

If passed, AB 1810 would require the registration of rifles and shotguns at the time of sale or other form of transfer such as when given as a gift, even if given by a father to his son or daughter, or through other inheritance!

IT WOULD REQUIRE THAT RETAILERS PUT THEIR CUSTOMERS THROUGH THE SAME PROCESS OF FORMS COMPLETION, RECORD KEEPING, AND REPORTING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AS THEY DO NOW FOR HANDGUNS! IT WOULD BE TIME CONSUMING AND COSTLY.

The cost increases would necessarily have to be passed on to customers in the form of higher prices! Retailers, including when at gun shows, would have no choice; it would be the only way that they could stay in business!!

AB 1810 is set for hearing in the Assembly Committee on Public Safety on Tuesday, April 13, 2010.

There is no valid reason for the registration of rifles and shotguns. Compared to handguns. Such firearms are rarely used in crime and their registration would not significantly help to solve or prevent crimes.

COTW Gun Show attendees are asked to immediately contact Assembly Member Feuer, the Assembly Committee on Public Safety, and their own Legislative District Assembly Member in strong opposition to AB 1810!

PLEASE ACT ON THIS NOW!

IMMEDIATE ACTION IS NEEDED!!

PLEASE CONTACT THE FOLLOWING NOW IN OPPOSITION TO AB 1810:

1. Author: Assembly Member Michael Feuer, State Capitol Building, Rm. 3146, Sacramento, Ca. 95814: Phone (916) 319-2042; FAX (916) 319-2142.

2. Assembly Committee on Public Safety:
Committee office:
1020 N. Street, Room 111, Sacramento, Ca. 95814; Phone (916) 319-3744; FAX (916) 319-3745.

Committee members:
Ammiano (Chair), Hagman (Vice Chair), Beall, Gilmore, Hill, Portantino, and Skinner *.

3. Your own State Assembly Representative.

I support this registration.
Soon, California, like Canada, will have totally wasted a few (more) billion dollars, and will be so broke that the only option remaining will be a big yard sale.

I bid $100 for Santa Barbara!

I'm a new gun owner and as I've learned about the laws around gun ownership the more I've realized just how irrational some of them are. Don't get me wrong, I believe that some gun control is required, such as background checks at the point of sale but I don't really see what good registration does. It's almost like the legislators introduce these types of bills to make people feel good, that they're orange cones in the street to say, "See, we're doing our job to keep you safe." I'd be interested to know the percentage of registered handguns (since handguns are the only firearm currently registered) that were lawfully purchased and end up in criminal's hands, not through theft (and reported by the lawful owner) but that were simply "resold" on the black market or just given to someone who can not lawfully own a gun and used in a crime. I'd be willing to bet the percentage is very small if anything at all. Sure, some lawfully owned handguns are used in crimes as well, I would postulate murders of passion or emotion as the primary crime that lawful handguns are used for. But how does registering of a handgun help, other than to identify that that handgun is owned by the suspect?

Okay, I'm going to stop now...I'm just rambling...
