The mission of the Second Amendment March is to galvanize the courage and resolve of Americans; to petition our elected officials against establishing anti-gun legislation; and to remind America that the Second Amendment is necessary to maintain our right to self defense.

It is the one right that protects all others.

We will accomplish our mission by a peaceful march in Washington DC, the United States Capital, supported by satellite marches in cities all across America.

What is the Second Amendment March?

Second Amendment March is a grass-roots organization that is pulling together Second Amendment supporters across the United States for a peaceful march in Washington, D.C, our nation's capital. We welcome ANYONE who supports the right to keep and bear arms, regardless of political leanings, gender, race, religion, etc. We also welcome both gun owners and non-gun owners alike! We have many supporters who have never owned -- and may never own -- a firearm, but they strongly believe in the Consitution and the importance of preserving the Second Amendment as our founding fathers intended.

Are you ready?  I recieved the permit yesterday from the State.  We will
be in the area called the "Traffic Circle".  It is right in front of the
capitol.  There are 4 other groups and functions going on on the same day.

I now have 77 people in my email list that this is going out to.  All but
3 0r 4 on the list are from California and have said that they and others
from their group will be attending the Sacramento march on April 19 from
10-2pm.  No one has given me any idea of how many they are expecting from
their group.  There are Some pretty good sized groups.  Oathkeepers, Bay
area open carry and gun owners of California to name a few.

I'm betting it is going to be a great turnout.  Quite a few have asked
about open carry for this event.  PC171c is where YOU NEED to look to
decide if you are going to OC.  I was told, but you need to decide for
yourself, that we can OC but, YOU CAN NOT HAVE ANY AMMO ANYWHERE WITHIN
YOUR REACH.  LEAVE IT AT HOME OR IN YOUR CAR BACK IN THE PARKING LOT.  NOT
IN A BAG, POCKET, OR ANYWHERE ON THE 40 ACRES OF THE STATE CAPITOL.
AGAIN, THIS IS UP TO YOU TO GET YOUR OWN INFO.  I AM NOT GIVING YOU
PERMISSION TO OC.

See you in Sacramento.
Thanks, Kent Sandhagen.

It has come to my attention while having a similar discussion on another thread that the Capital Grounds are a California State Park. This means that any carry is prohibited. I have attached a link for you all to check it out yourselves.

I think it is best to empty holster carry to show support for UOC and the 2A while protesting our restrictive gun laws in California. I also think it will help the cause to stop the UOC ban currently in the legislator. Imagine a news cast where they bring up that fact that everyone was there to rally for the 2A and everyone showed up lawfully without incident. Then someone gets a few seconds to say that their there to show that we are law-abiding citizens 100 percentof the time. That would only be good press.
