Article highlights issue of concealed handgun permit issing policy in the El Dorado County Sheriff's election.

Is there a California grass roots group which focusses on this election issue around the state in the various Sheriff race?

Got it right in the thread title, but just wanted to make sure there was no confusion. The article is from a Sac newspaper, but is about the neighboring El Dorado county election.

"Hennick, a 32-year deputy and most outspoken candidate on this issue, likes to use two short phrases: "U.S. citizen" and "apply and receive.""

He'd get my vote, and I'd happily move to El Dorado county even with a commute from hell.
