Excerpt
Middle-aged guys sitting around their basements fantasizing are one thing; addled war veterans with weapons training are another. Timothy McVeigh was a Gulf War veteran who read white-supremacist literature and the sort of books that predict a takeover by one-world government agents flying black helicopters. He has, or had, some potential heirs apparent in a recently indicted group called the Hutaree, a Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio-based militia. According to the Hutaree Web site, the group ranked its followers with weird sci-fi titles like "Radok" and "Arkon." The Hutaree militiamen speculate that the Antichrist is Javier Solana, a former NATO secretary-general and senior official of the European Union. The evidence? "There is a virtual media blackout on this man," writes John Reynolds, author of a screed on Solana and the Antichrist on the Hutaree Web site. "I see Jacques Chirac and Silvio Burlusconi [sic], Tony Blair, and Prince Charles on the TV all of the time, yet not a word one regarding Solana. Why not?" ("Mr. Solana has now retired and is an elderly private gentleman. This is quite insane," says a spokesman for the European Union's Washington diplomatic mission.)
Addled war veterans seems to cover many of US.

You mean a surge of people who are upset that their elected officials do not listen to their constitutions?

Well I'm sure everyone remembers the "surge of hate" series of articles from Newsweek 2005-2008 when lefties were burning effigies of President Bush, making movies fantasizing about assassinating President Bush, calling him "Bu@#$%ler" all over the internet even in the most popular liberal blogs and in news story and op/ed comment sections all over the interwebs including at Newsweek, vandalizing military recruiting offices in CA, throwing pies and salad dressing at numerous conservative speakers at college campuses ...

Buehler, Buehler ...

ETA: Ahahaha, the forum edited my post when I wrote "Bushhitler" without the extra "h" for using a naughty word ... good thing no one is talking about being attacked by a small dog like a @#$%zu...

These folks give me the mental image of a carnival geek following a sedate, sober businessman down the street, running circles around him; gesticulating wildly and yelling out that the businessman is a crazy, dangerous nut.

And they are beginning to be percieved that way, note how the Brady Bunch have given up trying to make a big deal over Starbucks' weapons policy and how Doonesbury has turned back to military sex harassment issues.

One thing I wonder isif these folks plan to infiltrate the April 192A events the way they plan to infiltrate the TEA parties tomorrow in order to distupt them/us?

Good Lord, would they please give T.McVeigh a rest! Of all the Gulf War Veterans, he was NOT the only one who had public and spectacular melt-downs. But MOST of the Gulf War Veterans were not unstable, fringe elements! They are painting with an awfully broad brush when they point out T.McV as a scare tactic!

*OK rant off -

Well this has shades of 1984. Lets paint vets and gun owners as the new Emmanuel Goldstein.

At least it reminded me to place my Oathkeeper decals on my vehicles.

Whatever will we do with our veterans? Like attack dogs, maybe they should be subject to additional scrutiny in case they need to be "put down" before those horrible skills they learned force them to go on a rampage? What to do?!? What to do?!?

Yes, soon we'll be just like "all the other nations" where no one can shoot straight, a .380is considered a"normal" police sidearm, criminals can be confident that no one has the means for self-defenseand the tax burden is necessarily hiked each year for all thesocial payments which keep the illiterate, unkempt masses content in their enclaves.

According to the MIAC report, EVERY citizen of the US who believes that the government should follow it's own laws, and the Constitution, are potential terrorists. Also included are people who have American flag bumperstickers, people who fly the Gadston flag, people who make reference to the phrase "Molon Labe", and people who have watched the movie "Zeitgeist"...

http://www.scribd.com/doc/13290698/...vementMissouri-MIAC-Strategic-Report-20Feb09-

So essentially if you are a free-thinking person who views the world around you in a critical, analytical manner and doesn't just toe the current "party line", you are a potential criminal.

Gee, where have we heard that sort of code of conduct from a government before?

And they wonder why "conspiracy theories" are gaining so much traction with the population...

But your reference to Emmanuel Goldstein is not entirely appropriate. In "1984", he was portrayed to the "people" as being their enemy, but in fact, he had written the sociopathic manual under which the government really operated...

He was the architect of the Totalitarian regime of 1984, but to keep the people mired in the fog of "doublespeak", he was mythologized into a figure that was in fact the exact opposite of what he REALLY was...

We are NOT all Emmanuel Goldstein. That's just not really appropriate imagery.

It's more like we are all Sophie Scholl.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophie_Scholl

But hopefully we won't end up like her, and hopefully our nation won't get as horrific as her's did.

We all pray, and speak and print and assemble peaceably to try and ensure that it never gets that bad here.

But the way things are going all four of those tactics (prayer, speech, printing, assembling) may soon become crimes as well...

Sheesh, this is ludicrous!!!:cuss::cuss::banghead::banghead: Addled Veterans?? Yeah right. We're all addled because we cannot believe the country we fought for, and some gave the ultimate price for is heading down the same road that we fought to keep us off of. Socialism/Communism. Not on my watch, which is far from being over.

All of this begs the question, at what percentage points do:

Citizens become Terrorists?

Terrorists becomeRebels?

Rebels become Opposition?

Opposition becomes Mainstream citizens (again)?

Vote them out!

Let's have change back to those standards which allowed our continued progress for the first 200 years.

How come the lefties get away with claiming that we pose a threat of violence when we assemble, when every time Lefties assemble it is nothing BUT violence??

When a busload of TEA party activists pulled into Searchlight, Nevada, they were greeted by a pack of lefties so repulsed by violence that they were throwing rocks at the "violent" TEA-partiers, who restrained themselves from responding in kind?

How many of us have had the experience of some obnoxious SOB getting up in our face and giving us an enraged spit-fllying lecture about how our weapon is making them fearful (which as I have said if they were so fearful, then why are they doing things that would anger a reasonable person?)

We pick up our trash and leave our sites cleaner than we found them. The lefties trash everything in sight and leave the citienry with the cleanup bill.

BUT WE ARE THE BAD GUYS??? :cuss:

Give me a very large break.

I was at the National 2A March today. My intention was to offer to help the volunteers clean up afterward once the crowds dispersed, but there was nothing to clean up! During the event, everyone pretty much policed up their own trash... if there was any stray garbage to be seen it was just the odd windblown napkin or paper cup that got away before its former owner could chase it down.
