can you carry in a casino?

what does the law say on carrying in a casino? i know it prohibits carrying in liquor establishments that are off limits to those under 21, but casinos are off limits to those under 21, but for gambling reasons. can you carry a firearm in a casino?

There has never been a casino that I have seen or heard of that allowed firearms whether legal or not.

im not sure about the laws but i know most casinos will simply throw you out for having a firearm.

hopefully someone who knows more will chime in.

There not 21+ for gambling. Gambling is 18+ but if they serve alcohol then its 21+. So I figure it would be the same as walking around in a bar. It is off limits to those under 21 for alcohol reasons.

Altho if you are under 21 you can still walk thru just cant stop, At least in Vegas and probably the same here. I have been with my young cousin and nobody said anything around here, He just never stopped.

You also have to remember that any time you go onto the reservation, you have effectively left the U.S. and entered onto sovereign land.

You are now subject to tribal law!

We here in AZ are very careful about firearms on the 'res, you just never know what kind of day their LEO is having.

In my opinion, I would have said "you have effectively left the state" rather than "left the U.S." because Tribal land is still subject to Federal Law. Think of each Reservation as being their own state. Also, many reservations do honor state CPL's for non tribal residents. Here in Washington, the Reservation Police are actually a part of the County's Sheriff's Department.

Here in AZ, the tribal police are just that, tribal. The tribes have their own laws and officers to enforce them.

Same here, except most of the reservation police contract with the County Sheriff's office, probably to save them money.

Excuse me, but this is NOT Arizona.Arizona hasspecific state laws about this.

White man is NOT subject to Indian/Tribal Law and cannot be charged with violating it, without a specific mirrored state law violation. In which case White Man will be charged with violation of state law, bya court which is either County, City, State,NOT Tribe.

Stick to AZ , please........ :banghead:

I didn't realize that the laws concerning Tribal Reservations varied that much from state to state.

King County Sheriff's Department for the Muckleshoot Tribe. That's one for sure. I haven't researched in to others.

So, can anyone point to a law that a non-Indian could be prosecuted for violating if said non-Indian possessed a gun in a casino? I'm not talking about if said non-Indian refused to leave after being told to do so, I'm asking if there is a crime that he could be charged with, right from the get go.

I think it would depend on the the specific laws of the tribe, and if they pertain to non Indians, or just to Indians of the Reservation. I know you're asking for a specific law, but unfortunately, I'm not sure of any off of the top of my head.

All of the Casinos I have been to are marked at the entrance with the liquor control board required signs. This indicates to me that it is off limits due to the classification by the LCB. Besides that you only need to be 18 to gamble in Wa.

I got kicked out of Emerald Queen Casino for having my pocket knife in my pocket...

That's OK though, that casino sucks. Way too smokey in there, burned my eyes with all the cigarette smoke.
