I remember reading on the FCPA website that Burke Lake and the surrounding land 50ft in from the water is DGIF (though the lake is maintained jointly by DGIF and FCPA. I also remembering something about DGIF having a different carry policy. The park itself is FCPA and therefore is covered by preemption.
Can anyone tell me what DGIF's policy re: carry is? Permitless OC? CC w/ Permit only?
I've OC'd at Burke Lake Park countless times (including at our OCDO picnics) including near the lake (I don't have a measuring tape so who knows if it was 50ft from the lake) and have never had an issue. I've OC'd in the presence of a DGIF officer as well (and FCPD), again, no issues.
