This is a family friendly event. Last year we had a great time with thousands of families present. Please bring your children so they can be a party of history. We expect it to be an amazing day.
Last year there wererumors of anti-Tea Party protestors attending the rally and not one protestor showed up. This year the same rumors are afloat. If you see any, please just point them out to security. Do not confront or engage them. Please also refer to our Code of Conduct. LASTLY, don't forget to make and bring your signs!!!!! That is what we are known for in the Tea Party. Keep them clean and focused on issues. We look forward to seeing the creativity.

Had more police protection than I have seen in years, including five mounted officers. Not sure why, crowd was large, enthusiastic, but orderly. Saw no negative interaction w/LE - in fact they all were most pleasant.

Listened to speeches, passed out GSL stickers - even got chased down as I was leaving when my feet finally gave out by more people wanting them.

Saw a number of VCDL people including Mr & Mrs Peter Nap.

Weather was much more cooperative this year than last. All in all, a good event.
