Church leader rapist Michael Tuano Hermogenes, 25, jailed for 21 years.

No one is safe anymore. This sick twisted alleged follower of God got 21 years for his crime but only has to serve 16 years when he will be eligable for parole.

"He must serve 16 years before he is eligible for parole."
.

He should have gotten no less than life in prisonment with hard labour. The girl will no doubt suffer for life. Haz.

Man chases group of teens after egging
Returned to find his wife dead on footpath
"Tragic event - over someone throwing eggs"

A MUM was fatally stabbed last night after an egging prank in Melbourne's north.

The woman, 47, and her husband went in pursuit of a group of four to five teenage boys in their car after their home in Tunbridge Crescent, Lalor, was egged.

The couple drove until they found the boys in nearby Curtin Ave, and the husband got out of the car to chase two of the boys, a detective said.

When the husband returned to their car, he found his wife dead on the footpath.

Sen-Det Ron Iddles, of the homicide squad, said the woman had had a confrontation with two to three young males.

The husband rang 000 and tried to resuscitate his wife, but when paramedics arrived just three minutes later she was dead.

By Greg Stolz From: The Courier-Mail July 04, 2011 12:00AM A 13-YEAR-OLD intruder is in hospital with serious head injuries and his self-confessed assailant claims to be in fear of his life after a botched break-in at the weekend.

Gold Coast boy Brodie (surname withheld for legal reasons) was allegedly bashed after breaking into a house and trying to steal a pushbike with a group of mates on Friday night.

He is recovering in Gold Coast Hospital with injuries including swelling on the brain, and detectives have launched an investigation.

Brodie's mother Leanne yesterday admitted her son was "no angel" and had been "up to no good" when he was assaulted.

"But he didn't deserve this," she said. "It was over the top.

Tougher penalties needed for attacks against police - union boss Ian Leavers
By Darren Cartwright From: AAP July 09, 2011 3:28PM

Police union boss Ian Leavers wants mandatory sentencing for serious assaults on officers.
POLICE union boss Ian Leavers has again called for tougher penalties for anyone who assaults an officer after a female constable was attacked in north Queensland.

The constable was pushed and twice hit in the face by a teenage boy after she attended a dispute at a house in Mackay at 10.45pm (AEST) yesterday.

She suffered bruising and was taken to Mackay Base Hospital for precautionary treatment before being released.

A 19-year-old and a 20-year-old had both sustained knife wounds before police arrived at the house and a 17-year-old boy has been charged with assaulting and obstructing police.

Mr Leavers wants mandatory sentencing for serious assaults on officers.

"Both sides of politics need to stop the talk and protect police now," Mr Leavers said in a statement.

Criminals invited to sit on juries, australia!

Well, I'm convinced our lawmakers are definately going insane. First they Bann firearms, then delcare and legislate "all forms" of armed self defence illegal enabeling criminals, and if caught criminals are rarely given more than a slap on the wrist. Now, our law makers and shakers are considering inviting criminals to sit on juries to decide the fate of fellow criminals! MADNESS.

Haz.

CRIMINALS will be invited to sit on juries deciding the fate of other criminals if the Government adopts a controversial recommendation from the Queensland Law Reform Commission.

In a landmark report, the commission proposes changing the Jury Act to allow minor offenders - especially Aborigines - to be eligible for jury service.

The commission, chaired by the Supreme Court's Justice Roslyn Atkinson, recommended that the Act be amended "to ameliorate the disqualifying effect of a person's criminal history".

We look after our murder's, down under.

We take care of our murder's in Australia. This grub bashed a young woman to death because she rejected his sexual advances, then burnt her body in a 44 gallon drum and recieved a minimum sentence of 13 years? Now the poor little diddums doesnt want others to know of his crime and he is worried about being "stigmatised" as a sex offender. Last week, Supreme Court Justice Lucy McCallum overruled the prisons boss, ordered him to review Davison's appeal to have his classification reduced and said he should be reconsidered for parole.

Horrific death ... Dearne Nonnenmacher. Source: The Daily Telegraph

JONATHAN Davison would rather be called a murderer than a rapist.

The self-confessed killer is so afraid of inmates finding out he is a deviant, he has refused to do the sex offenders course in jail.

He abused and bashed Dearne Nonnenmacher, 18, in Orange on Christmas Day, 1990 after she rebuffed his sexual advances, then burned her body in a 44-gallon drum.

But Davison, now 40, is worried about being "stigmatised" as a sex offender.

He has even gone to the Supreme Court to stop his fellow prisoners finding out.

Davison's minimum sentence of 13 years and five months expired in 2006.

Take our guns, ban self defence, but your not getting our hoodies.

THE Brisbane bayside suburb of Wynnum will become a "hoodie-free zone" next month in a bid to fight the growing number of armed robberies.

Police have encouraged shopowners to demand customers remove their hoods when they enter the store to minimise their risk of becoming a "target".

Shops will be given a "Remove Hoodies on Premises" sticker during the one month trial, which is likely to be extended across South Brisbane and Oxley Districts.

Sadly the Average Aussie doesnt seem to be the full quid these days! They allow themselves to be dissarmed, they allow all forms of self defence to be declared illegal, but what ever you do, dont make people remove their hoodies when entering shopping malls or banks in case they may be easily identified if they bash or rob some one! Lets blame the police for this terrible idea!

Ban on hoodies in Wynnum shops stalled amid community backlash

HOOD FEAR: A plan to remove hoodies in shops has split opinion. Source: Quest Newspapers

WYNNUM'S "fashion police" have stalled a proposal to ban hoodies from the neighbourhood.

Late last month, police said the area would become a "hoodie-free zone" to help stop armed robberies, warning the clothing item had become the "standard uniform" for armed robbers and was helping undesirables to conceal their identity.

But the idea has attracted strong criticism, forcing a major rethink.

Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson had already intervened, requesting the word "please" be added to planned shop-window stickers demanding that patrons "remove hoodies on premises".

Now, police officers and the Wynnum and District Chamber of Commerce are planning to change the name from "hoodie-free zone" to something else, responding to a backlash from some sectors of the community.

Organisers have also pointed the finger at a trigger-happy Queensland Police Service media department, which released the "hoodie-free zone" concept to the public before the plan was ready.

Dramatic rise in crime gold coast.

There are deep and worrying concerns over the dramatic rise in Gold Coast crime. At the same time our authorities make statements like this;

INCREASING community outrage at the escalation in violent crimes on the Gold Coast has forced the State Government to concede there is a problem.

Police Minister Neil Roberts yesterday said he was shocked by the shooting at Broadbeach and understood the community's concerns about a crime wave on the Coast.

But Deputy Premier Paul Lucas apparently did not get the memo, continuing to play down the damage being done to the city's reputation and calling on locals to have some perspective.

National Police raids uncover gun stashes as Coast's Underbelly reputation grows

Its a sad state of affairs when the ever rising crime figures are no longer able to be hidden under the carpet, the regional Assistant Police Comissioner makes statements like this;
"However, police regional Assistant Commissioner Paul Wilson, who attended the summit, sought to play down the violent crime spree.

While there are some alarming incidents occurring, the vast majority of people come to the Gold Coast and have a completely safe and enjoyable stay."
. No Comissioner, they are statying away!

And at the same time the Premier of the State says this;

"Ms Bligh admitted the Gold Coast clearly had "issues with crime"
.

Finally the truth comes out as it always does!

"Prominent Gold Coast criminal lawyer Bill Potts said while the national gun buyback following the Port Arthur massacre took many firearms out of circulation, it had failed to deter the black market trade."
.

See Comissioner, baning firearms and declaring armed self defence by Law Abiding Citizens illegal has done nothing to deter crime. Criminals do not obey any laws!

The Punch: Coast in danger of losing its lustre

GOLD Coast police are uncovering arsenals of weapons during secret raids on the Glitter Strip, as authorities scramble to curb its growing gangland reputation.

In the past week, police have seized five guns, including three in one drug raid, in what experts say is further evidence of hardcore criminals infiltrating the Gold Coast and muscling in on the lucrative narcotics trade.

The revelations came as the mystery deepened over the shooting murder of "loner" Colin Lutherborrow on one of the Gold Coast's busiest streets, and as:

Premier Anna Bligh said she did not want the Coast's reputation marred by "these terrible crimes" and warned criminals their "days are numbered";
Senior Gold Coast police, and business and community leaders held a crisis summit to thrash out solutions to the city's image and economic problems;
More Commonwealth Games delegates arrived to be confronted by news of another fatal shooting; and
The Coast's top cop insisted the city was safe.
One of the five guns seized in the past week along with a silencer, ammunition, Taser, baton and balaclavas was found in a drug bust at Pacific Pines last Friday.

.
That was the same suburb in which Coomera detective Senior Constable Damian Leeding was shot dead trying to foil an armed robbery on May 29.

Victim of one offender says Hinch is a hero

THE plug has been pulled on outspoken radio star Derryn Hinch by a magistrate who yesterday imposed an extraordinary gag order.

Hinch, who had a liver transplant just two weeks ago, could have been jailed after he pleaded guilty to four charges of deliberately breaching suppression orders that prohibited the identification of sex offenders.

Magistrate Charlie Rozencwajg told a pale and breathless Hinch that he would have had no hesitation in jailing him but for his poor health.

Instead, he ordered that the 67-year-old broadcaster be confined to his home for five months, and placed strict conditions on what he can say and to whom he can say it.

Last night, a victim of a shocking paedophile attack called Hinch a hero for sacrificing his freedom to name and shame sex offenders.

Nothing has changed in sunny Australia since the gun ban,in fact its getting more exciting by the minute. Stabbings, a glassing and bat attack . . just another bloody night in Perth.

Phil Hickey From: PerthNow August 07, 2011 7:26AM.

PERTH has been rocked by a night of extreme violence - with three people stabbed in two separate incidents, a police officer injured during an arrest and a bouncer glassed in the face at a pub.

Several other people were beaten with baseball bats at a house in Mirrabooka.

In the most brutal and bloody incident, up to 40 people were involved in a fight in a carpark in Joondalup about 4am.

Two men were stabbed in the ferocious brawl near Bowas Ave, leaving one of them with serious injuries to his chest.

He is recovering in hospital.

In a separate incident two men have been arrested over their alleged involvement in a stabbing at a Balcatta hotel this morning.

Police say a man was stabbed once in the back and front of his torso outside the Seven Mile Inn about 12.30am.

Two men, aged 21 and 35, have been charged with unlawful wounding.

At the Woodvale Tavern a bouncer was glassed in the face about midnight.

Casualties of violent weekend, teen knifed five times in stabbing spree across Sydney

A TEENAGER was knifed five times at an inner-city bar in one of three stabbings in just 24 hours over the weekend.

It was the third consecutive weekend in which a man aged 20 or under has been stabbed in central Sydney, police data shows.

In Saturday night's attack, a 19-year-old man was attacked with a pocket knife in front of patrons at V Bar on Liverpool Street at 8.30pm.

Police said he became involved in an argument with two men at the busy bar and one of them stabbed him five times in the right arm and lower left leg.

The men ran from the bar and patrons called police as the man collapsed and began bleeding heavily. The victim told police he did not know the names of his two attackers.

Australian Digger fails to overturn guns ban.

Australian Digger fails to overturn guns ban.

What a sad state of affair's in a country where criminals roam the streets armed to the teeth!

Ashamedly, all I can say is this.

The Words of Remembrance are now a farce;

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them"

How will we remember these Australian war heros?

By taking away their leagally owned registered, and licenced firearms!

Why are we taking away their legally owned and registered firearms for which they are licenced to own?

Because the grey cardigans running this nanny state believe the diggers are are just getting too old to own them ????? Isnt that a good idea! Dissarm an old digger who lives alone on a property and leave him vulnerable to criminal home invaders who are armed to the teeth.

"Mr Molony said there was nothing in the relevant Act or regulations that "points to minimum standards of fitness necessary for the holder of a firearms licence""
.

Makes one ashamed to be an Australian.

A FRAIL 89-year-old World War II veteran, who lives alone on his NSW rural property, has failed to overturn a police decision revoking his firearms licence.

One of three policemen who went to the property said they were told: "I don't want you taking my guns. Haven't you blokes got anything better to do than going around harassing war veterans?"

The NSW Administrative Decisions Tribunal yesterday affirmed a decision by the NSW Commissioner of Police to revoke the firearms licence of Richard Neil Hawkins.

Mr Hawkins, a licensee for many years, told the hearing he was raised with firearms and strictly drilled by his father in their safe use and storage.

"His view is that the actions of the police, in suspending his firearms licence (and the subsequent revocation), defies common sense," said judicial member Peter Molony.

But Mr Molony was satisfied it was not in the public interest for him to continue holding a licence, for reasons including his frailty and chronic neck and back condition.

5 man home invasion.

Police hunt five men who invaded a home in Carlisle.

From: PerthNow August 09, 2011 7:26PM

WANTED: Police have issued this composite of one of the men accused of a home invasion in Carlisle.

A YOUNG couple feared for their lives after armed men stormed into their Carlisle home about 8pm on Monday night.

Police said the gang of five forced their way into the home in Tuckett St, Carlisle, occupied by a 21-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman.

The offenders demanded money and threatened them with weapons, believed to be a knife and a gun.

FIVE men, one brandishing a double-barrelled shotgun, burst into a home in Carlisle overnight - but left with only a mobile phone for their efforts.

The men, one armed with a double barrel shotgun and another carrying a knife, kicked in the front door of the Tuckett Street house just before 8pm.

The occupants of the property, a man and a woman both aged 21, remained inside the house as it was ransacked by the intruders.

Another man who was visiting the pair escaped over a back fence and went for help.

The thugs demanded money and drugs but left with only a mobile phone. No one was injured during the raid.

It's believed the gang left in a Holden Commodore, distinctively painted in red on the top half and white on the lower half.

Police said it may have interstate plates, possibly from the Northern Territory or Queensland.
