I am applying for a job in armed security but have to wait until I am certified, which I fully understand and respect. Anthony Proietta (the owner of the company I am applying for) is teaching his next course in May. If I must wait until then, I will but I'd like to be able to take the course from a reputable instructor before then. Does anybody know of any courses being taught before next month?

That aside, what should I expect from this class? I already have my CWP; will this be anything like that?

Please share any insight you might have.

Thank you in advance.

As an armed Security Officer for many years, you will be disappoimted with the "open carry" armed Security course. It is so much easier and less than the CWP course. You could pass it if you were blind and paralized from the neck up AND down. Basically, all you do is fire 50 rounds. Period.

Big difference? You don't have to PAY for it, if you've got a halfway decent company.

Thanks Armyman. While I was hoping for a challenge, an easy class wouldn't ruin my week either. Mostly, I want the change in career path that will come with the permit. Food and Beverage/Hospitality is eroding away at my laid-back nature like a sand blaster being turned on an ice sculpture on a summer day. Oh, and the fact that I just enjoy collecting certifications. Everyone has a hobby I suppose.

Does anybody know if there is a class before mid next month?
