These are true stories from Moscow Russia/ WVC, Utah.
This CFP Student of mine just came back from a 2 year LDS Mission to Russia & Belarus.
He would be walking down the Street and the Police would stop them and ask them for "Their Papers" then they would take them to the Police Station and hold them for no reason, then let them go for no reason. One time the Police came into a meeting house (Church) no warrant and asked to see "IDs"/ PERMIT! One Brave American sitting at the piano began to play the Star Spangler Banner. I would have loved to see, if thier was one a YOUTUBE clip of that!In Belarus they could not wear Missionary name tag, they had to go by their first names, they could not "preach the Gospel" they had to wait to say anything religious until a Belorussian asked first to learn about the LDS Church.
Back to Russia, 2 LDS Missionaries were walked down an alley by some "mobsters" and the Police just happened to come by and they lied to tell the tell. Please no comments about religion this is not about a church, I share with you what it is like to live in a "Police State" and to see what the Government can do to you if you do not have any Constitutional rights. Your life is not in God's hands but of that of the Government and their "Hench men!"
