LMAO

AbNo, surely there are newspapers/radio/tv, maybe even cable where you live. The modern technology of fiber optics can do more than just pipe in daylight.

Only nearby paper's not worth reading (as we see repeatedly in the VCDL alerts), I haven't have cable television in 11 years, and I can't hear the radio over the sound of my Jeep. :D

It didn't take Dan Casey very long to pile on. He even came up with a catchy little name. The bourbon and a Beretta bill. How clever.

I much prefer a White Russian and a Walther.

On a serious note, I agree armed+intoxicated should be illegal, but I do not think a ban on having a beer is acceptable. Having a beer with lunch will not intoxicate you. Especially if you eat a plate of food.

This is misrepresented by extremes. It is either, you can't even LOOK at alcohol, OR your WASTED. I take responsibility for myself and never, NEVER drink more than 1 beer w/o food (2 beers with food) and 1 hour before I drive afterwards.(I am 6'3" 350lbs) If I'm goin to 'drink' for a special occasion it is planned in advance so I don't have to drive and my pistol is not on my person. I think most people are reasonable and sensible and I don't like laws that are nanny-fied like I'm a child unable to make decisions.

Unfortunately, they want the exception to create the rule. It is a continuum of the rule by the few.

Exceptions, the errant, must be responded to individually for their sins.

Asking for reasonableness under almost any circumstance is hard enough.

Asking for reasonableness concerning firearms puts you up against the shrieking antis.

Asking for reasonableness concerning firearms and alcohol at the same time puts you up against shrieking antis and shrieking MADD moms.

So pervasive is the anti-alcohol stream of consiousness that even people who believe in freedom for firearms often get bent out of shape when talking about DUIs and such and suddenly want to throw due process out the window.

Nobody trusts their fellow citizens to do anything right without a phonebook-sized law telling them how to do it and a billion-dollar regulatory agency following you around with a notepad and a ticket book.
