Gun Rights Rally Draws Crowd At Back Cove Park
Armed barbecue organized by USM student

Dan MacLeod

Issue date: 4/26/10

. . .

The barbecue was organized by Shane Belanger, a freshman pre-med biology major, who said he had no political motive other than to simply throw a barbecue for like-minded people.

"We're your neighbors, your sons, your daughters. You shouldn't be scared of us," he said. "We're just here to have a barbecue."

The comment I posted on this article...

Cathie Whittenburg holds that sign in the picture... Let's change the wording on that just a bit...

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

NO PERMIT

NO SAFETY TRAINING

NO THANKS....

And don't try to tell me the spoken word hasn't caused death's in this world.

I wonder how SHE would like that?

I think you did a good job! By the way, how does "the lady holding the sign" know that anyone who attended didn't go through any safety classes?

Anyhow, great job again.
