Well AMBOY,

I wouldn't say I disliked you, at least until I met you 1st. Again another shining example of why things the way they are. If I automatically assume you are bad, then it makes it hard to work towards common goals.

But anyway, I will do my part to bring the groups together if possible.

We should go shooting someday then you might see we Dems, are not the green eyed monsters you think we are.

Just a thought.
Well most people dont like me....and i like it like that....i dont really dislike ALL dems' just the extreme, hate guns, go healthcare type...green eyed monsters?

That's a pretty fair & balanced statement wouldn't you say?

See, I don't make baseless statements. I really want to hear your side of the story.
I'm surprised that you don't have a John McCain t-shirt as we all know he is a progressive anyway. The way I see it we were pretty much all on the same side after the primary because the top two presidential candidates were both progressives:what::shock::banghead:.springerdave.

AMBOY,

I think you are being too hard on yourself. There are most likely lots of folks that like you.

As far as the extremes- we agree there, they only make up a VERY small part of the groups on both sides. yet they are all we ever hear about. I guess NUTTY makes a better story than common sense honest people standing up for their rights?

P.S. Nice use of visuals in your post.

Dave you are correct both choices were BAD, very BAD! Now Gramps is saying that the problem in his State (AZ) with illegals isn't his fault, but Washingtons'.... Ah 30 years as the Senator.....and nothing is your fault....nice.

Perhaps there needs to be a different criteria other than .. Democrat.. Republican... Libertarian... et al...

that people should be thought of as...

Patriot....................... or not.

FYI - I found the exact picture at the following site:

You judge for yourself what the intent is there then come to your own conclusions.

Again - we need to work together rather than fight with each other, all that does is make changing what we all identify as broken that much harder to fix.

This (2A rights) is not in my opinion a Republican or Democrat issue. It is a issue of all of us being controlled by a tiny group of "Policy making, Political silver spoon, Plutocracy driven buttheads " :cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss:

Together " We shall over come, dived we shall surely perish! "

On that note - God bless and good night!
Venator didn't post the picture there. He posted it here.

Are you sure you're a democrat progressive and not a republican apologist?

1. Anyone ever hear of Photoshop?
2. Is it possible, if these are legit photos, that some were political protestors?
3. Even if all of these folks really did do what is suggested, they would represent such a small % of the nearly 82 MILLION people that voted Democratic you would need an electron microscope to notice them, right?

Remember this - most of us are in the middle as politics goes, hence we have more in common than separates us. If we build on this school of thought the next time there is a supposed "Pro gun rights" protest in DC instead of 3,000 people showing up we could have 3 MILLION there instead.

This is type of nonstop back and forth between citizens is exactly what the CLOWNS in DC want as it divides us so they can conquer us. They much prefer we "TALK AT EACH OTHER" than talk to one another. :banghead:

Remember even if we can't agree...the enemy of my enemy is my ally correct? This is why I consider all of you my allies, and for that matter brothers and sisters at arms.

Your thoughts? ;)
Sir - If you wish to be "Post-Partisan" as you suggest, identifying yourself as a "progressive" only furthers that which you claim to abhor.

Oh but it's ok when you're a Euro-socialist style "progressive".

They want everybody to be their friend. It make their communistic agenda less offensive.

On this board, I could care less about someone's political bent as long as they are not foisting it on me. My point was the sheer hypocrisy of Glock9mmOldStyle post. Either you are going to be partisan or you are not going to be.

I guess since this thread has not been locked it does not violate the rules.

First off I am an independent. I do not affiliate myself with any particular party.

Glock9mmOldStyle you can play passive aggressive all you want but there is one undeniable trend I see when looking at Democrats and Republicans. One party has constantly and consistently (key word here) voted to restrict my 2A rights. The other has not.

I can’t believe somebody would come on this board and say they are pro 2A and then say they are progressive and a democrat. You cannot be both my friend since in todays world one seeks to destroy the other.

This is a misnomer in My opinion, and remember folks opinions are just that. I try to back mine up with facts when ever I can. You see I unlike some that have a follow the talking points mentality; I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE INDEPENDENT THOUGHT.

I had hoped most of you would be reasonable and respect that, but maybe I was in error?

I think one of the prior post nailed it pretty good! I will try not to offend the diehard right faction here by referring to myself as a patriot 1st in future posts. As I truly believe in freedom enough to respect your opinions even if I don't care for them.

As to the jabs about Dems always wanting to take your/mine guns away you may want to look at this.

If I'm not welcome here just have an Admin. tell me so & I'll leave, ask for my membership fees back and take my support for this group with me. The last thing you should want is to drive people away for having exercised their rights, correct?

Well I'm getting ready to take a nice OC stroll through town.

First and foremost you are most welcome here sir.

Secondly, you have every right, within your prerogative, to describe yourself as a patriot, we all have slightly different definitions, obviously.

My personal feelings; If you're a bandwagon Progressive and think that progress is a good thing and hence, why not be a progressive, then I feel you need some education on the history and true definition of Progressivism.

If however you are completely familiar with the often outlined goals of Progressivism to bring America down from it's lofty place as the greatest country of all time and agree with them, I must say that I cannot imagine what you and I would have in common politically or otherwise outside of our 2A rights.
