We have a continuous open firearms season for coyotes during the day and more than half the year at night. Doesn't that mean that you can carry a loaded uncased firearm in the woods year round during the day?
I know absolutely nothing about WV law. In KY the KY Revised Statutes(laws passed by our legislature) are superior to any lesser Regs, We have KAR (Ky. Administrative Regulations) and several other levels of regs, including DNR regs.. They all have the force of law, but they can not overrule the KRS. Any area that is regulated by KRS can not be regulated by a lesser reg. Many of these kinds of regs. exist but are not valid. Unfortunately, many LEO's and prosecutors don't know that. Lanzaiguy and I have been working with an attorney from the Legislative Research Council to try and cleanup all of these regs. that are in conflict with KRS. There could be 100's of these. I suggest you try to find out if a similar situation exists in WV and contact a legislator to help identify and remove these lesser regs.
