The Port of Seattle recently amended its rules to permit wearing a weapon in the passenger terminal outside of the areas where the metal detectors are located. The port is just one municipality that has quietly conformed to Washington state’s firearms preemption statute.

Good article. It sounds to me like gun laws are becoming less restrictive.

Not less restrictive, rather they are being properly enforced. It was never illegal to carry in the non secure areas of the Sea Tac airport...

I am not anti Cop I am just pro Citizen.

    U.S. v. Minker, 350 US 179, at page 187
"Because of what appears to be a lawful command on the surface, many citizens, because
of their respect for what only appears to be a law, are cunningly coerced into waiving their
    rights, due to ignorance." (Paraphrased)

While that is true, several of our members have been harassed and even arrested while legally carrying at the Airport

Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels knew his edict violated state law; he earlier admitted in writing that he did not have authority to enact the restrictions on guns in the parks and other city property. He issued his decree without the Seattle City Council even voting on it.

Wow a voted in mayor actually admits he is wrong. That would be nice if all the other voted officials would be willing to do the same. Cheers

Nice, but what about those that were arrested previously? They made the change because they knew their "rules" were not legal but will they reimburse those who were financially harmed?
"If I shoot all the ammo I am carrying I either won't need anymore or more won't help"

"If you refuse to stand up for others now, who will stand up for you when your time comes?"
