I am compiling a survey to spread around campus to get the word out about Open Carrying...

I am trying to stimulate the brain with these questions, while keeping open carry in a positive light...



"Do you own any handguns?"

"Do you havea valid concealed pistol license?"

"Did you know, anyone 18-yr. old or older, law-abiding citizen of the State of Michigan who owns a legally registered handgun may openly carry (in a holster) said firearm in all places not explicitly exempt by law with or without a CPL? (Private property rules over-ride state laws in regards to firearm possession.)"

"Have you ever seen anyone open carry a handgun in public?"

"Do you object to someone open carrying his handgun in public"?

you'd get a better response if you made a poll/series of polls online,some people just wish to remain anonymous on certain things

1. Have you ever considered carrying a handgun for protection?

2. Did you know there are three options available to do so in MI?

3. Option 1. OC (give details, especially FREE factor).

4. Option 2. CPL (give details, especially COST/WAIT TIME factors).

5. Option 3. Both (give details on how they OC/CPL can compliment one another).

I would also ask this:

- Do you know thatmost attacks with firearms by felonsagainst citizens last less than a minute and that police will not arrivein timeto protect you?

- Do you know that even if police officer is around during felonious attack with firearmagainst you, this police officer is under no legal obligation to put himself in danger to protect your life?

- After comprehending both of thequestions above, do youagree that meeting deadly force with equal deadly force is a reasonable option for you to have if felonious attack with a deadly weaponoccurs?
