    For anyone who is interested..here is the official list of crimes in the 8th dist (French Quarter) for the last few days from>>> http://groups.google.com/group/NOPD8-EmailBlast/topics But we cant carry a gun in many areas of the Quarter due to SCHOOL ZONES!!!!
    Simple Robbery, Dauphine & Toulouse
    On Sunday, May 2, 2010, at 5:23am, the victim, W/M, was walking near Dauphine and Toulouse when he was approached by three unknown black males. One of the suspects struck the victim, and demanded money. The suspects then took the victim’s money from his pockets and then fled on foot on Dauphine toward St Louis, then unknown.... more »

    Simple Robbery, 700 block of Esplanade
    On Sunday, May 2, 2010, at 4:45am, the victim, W/M, was walking in the 700 block of Esplanade when he was approached by three unknown black males. One of the suspects struck the victim in the head, knocking him to the ground.     Armed Robbery, 2100 block of N Rampart
    On Saturday, May 1, 2010, at 2:15am, the victim, W/F, was walking in the 2100 block of N Rampart when she was approached by an unknown black male. The suspect produced a knife and demanded money.     Aggravated Assault, 300 block of Loyola
    On Sunday, April 25, 2010, at 11:40am, the victim, B/M, was standing in the 300 block of Loyola when he became involved in an argument with a black male acquaintance.     Aggravated Battery, Tulane and Loyola
    On Friday, April 23, 2010, at 7:30pm, the victim, B/M, was standing at the bus stop near Tulane and Loyola when he was approached by a black male acquaintance. The suspect threw a bottle which struck the victim. Detectives conducted an investigation and issued a warrant for the suspect, James Young, B/M, 7-24-83.... more »

    Glad to see that the criminals are complying with the firearm-free school zones. Other than that, I don't see the point of this thread.

    The point is to show how much crime is happening in just 1 neighborhood. The school zone laws are keeping us from defending ourselves from out of control crime in our own neighborhoods. If you have a BETTER post then lets see it!!! Maybe you will have a better point than me in your post.
