I don't know if anyone has seen the film, "Mad as Hell" by Aaron Russo, but there is a part within it how the DEA busts into a mans home based upon the idea that he was growing marijuana(He was not) and when he came down with his firearm after hearing his wife scream in terror he was brutally killed upon coming downstairs. There is much more too it but I suggest that you check it out.

And all that, (in the Columbia MO incident) was for 1 GRAM of marijuana...

Prohibition causes crime, folks--you'd think we would have learned that from the little "experiment" that happened in the US from 1920-1933.

The ONLY people who benefit from prohibition are the criminals. I'll leave it up to the reader to decide who the real criminals are in the "war on drugs"...

Apparently, it's OK for our troops in Afghanistan to guard, ship, even aid in the cultivation of opium poppies. But god forbid some dude in MO should want to smoke a joint on a Saturday night...

Apparently, the LEA's in MO have a LOT of issues...

It could have been any other crime.

The point here is not the crime that was committed (that would be more appropriate on a board that discusses such issues), but the small nature of the crime compared to the disproportionate amount of force the police chose to use.
