The La Crosse Rifle Club will be hosting an NRA Basic Pistol Course for Women under the Women On Target program. Class will be held at the La Crosse Rifle Club on Thursday, July 22, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 24, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This class is designed for women who have no or little familiarity with handguns. A variety of handguns with ammunition will be available for students to shoot under supervision of instructors during the range time of the class.

Cost of the course is $50/student and advance registration is required. Space is limited.

If you have questions or would like to register for the class, PM me.

Good price for a great class !!

Thank you. We run this on a non-profit basis, so the $50 basically buys enough ammo for the students to shoot. Most of the La Crosse area gun shops sell me ammo at or near wholesale prices for this class so in return I put ad sheets from them in the student packets.

Also we have received block grants from the Wisconsin Friends of NRA each year for this class which allows purchase of ammo and pays for printing costs to run the program. Otherwise we would have to charge the students substantially more than the $50 fee.

It costs me $50 just to have a student in one of my classes, and I don’t pay for there ammunition.
