Charges, more revelations in Port Orchard shooting

"Finlay’s apparent statements to police investigators evidently portrayed the incident in a way that did not meet the requirements of the statute, compelling the Kitsap County prosecutor to file the charge after the county coroner formally ruled Axthelm’s death as a homicide...

"...The key question remains unanswered.

What was Axthelm doing in Finlay’s apartment at 3:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning?

snip

(Does Washington need a “Make My Day” law like they have in Colorado? Does Washington need a “Shoot the Burglar” law like they have in Texas?)

I didnt know they had these laws, but I vote yes...

when I lived in Texas, I understood that if a person does not leave your property (even the front yard) when you want them to, you are able to shoot them. There better be a good reason, but that's how I knew it when I lived there.
