Nothing, because pepper sprays aren't banned from the court, as they're not a "dangerous weapon". Same with shocking devices.

Unload and disassemble your Glock while following all the rules of gun safety. Now, knock yourself in the head with the frame. Doesn't hurt too bad, now, does it?

    Now repeat with the slide.

Let me know the results after you wake up

Aryk45XD, buddy... it's not the piercings that are tripping the metal detector. It's the jewelry in the piercings...
    LOL. true that.

There is one way to get a gun past the detectors. You have to be really good at molding plastic and hiding a bullet in your key chain. You'd only get one shot though. I saw it on a movie so it must be true.

Glocks do not have any external safeties so as you walk past the metal detectors it sends off a vibration that will pull the trigger and your Glock will go full auto. But if you have a safety then the metal detector will notice the extra metal in the safety switch. That's how they know you have a gun.

Holy @&%$!! :what:Is that really true? I better not try to carry my glock near any metal detectors then, thanks for the info.

Uh, no. Hopefully that was sarcastic - we really need a "sarcasm" smiley.

Even if the frame and slide were plastic (and in Glocks only the frame is plastic), there have to be metal internal parts. Plastic doesn't make good gun barrels, and a gun barrel is plenty of metal to trip a detector.

    They're quite sensitive.

The metal doesn't even have to be ferrous (magnetic/magnetizable) for it to be detected, since it'll still get induced eddy currents and affect the resonant frequency of the detector's coil.

A Glock 7 will not set off metal detectors and you can walk right though undetected. However they are very expensive and usually a special order item as most gun dealers will not keep one in stock due to the cost.

    Do keyboards cause troll posts?
I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.

They detect them through the Manowar phenomenon.

You know, The Gods made Heavy Metal.

And they saw that it was good.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -John Stuart Mill

I was always told there were no dumb questions.......
I am not anti Cop I am just pro Citizen.

I had to laugh cause I realized something. When I first saw the picture, I thought, "OMG! That looks like a happy dog" because of the way I know how my rot would go bonkers for his ball. Then I thought, I bet some if not most would think that's an angry or mean dog. People used to get in my face for having such a "vicious and unpredictable" dog. He passed away and I couldn't bear to get another (he was a trained dog), so I got a gun and still people are scared of it. Used to be the weak hid behind the strong, not ridiculed and pestered them.

There are no "bad" breads. Bad dogs yes Bad breeds no. I had the same reaction to the pic. Dog looked like OMG it's my favorite toy.

The majority of Pitbulls I have encountered have been big ol puppy dogs just wanting attention and very freindly.

Just like stupid gun laws, there are stupid dog laws too.
