If you are not a member of a firearms rights organization (and it seems like everyone looks for reasons not to be), I urge you to find one, join, and get active. I don't know whether this will just be ignored in Washington, or if our good friends in Washington will use this as a pretext or excuse to engage in treachery again.
The NRA, for all of its faults, has the most juice. I recommend joining, and trying to influence the organization as a member if you don't like its other stances.
But anything is better than nothing.
