Where are stun guns legal?

I live in Prince George's county and I want to purchase a stun gun online. Are they legal outside of Baltimore, and Annapolis? I've read several sites but am confused. I don't own a handgun and would feel more comfortable with a stun gun for right now. I use public transportation and most of you who do2 know its hell on wheels.
