If budgets are bare...what's a citizen to do?

Sheriff Sue Rahr...explains in an Op-Ed piece in this morning’s Seattle Times that “without additional funding” her department will be forced to cut 70 deputies. There will be 36 fewer deputy prosecutors to work criminal cases. That is this year, according to Rahr and Prosecutor Dan Satterberg. Next year will be worse.

This a standard tactic of the Democrats in power whether it has to do with school funding or state funding. They always try to get higher taxes by saying they'll have to do away with police, fire or other necessary services. In the schools sports and art are the common targets. They never even consider reducing any of the socialist social programs that they pour money into. They know that if they threaten the citizens children or the adults safety the general public will always cough up more money.

For the same amount I got my Hipoint 45 and enough ammo to learn how to use it :p
And speaking from personal experience, our HP's blew the Taurus away for reliability

AK47.

Quite possibly the most rugged and reliable weapon ever created, and dirt cheap anywhere on the globe.

LOL I was reading the same one while posting that. I need to drop a little $ on new sights for mine, but just proves the point, cheap doesn't necessarily equal bad

I would daily carry my highpoint over my taurus if it didnt weigh so much. I tried but, I'm not into saggin. Never had a problem with my highpoint and it shot nuts on right out of the box, I'm on my 2nd taurus.

BTW, just got our daily town paper today and 1 article reads "Burglary Spree" at least 22 homes and businesses have been robbed. Another article reads Council OK's new officer.I can see the problem with vacation homes, but one house was robbed and at least 16 guns were taken. All the more reason to arm yourself. Not only did we have robbers, but now we have armed robbers.

I need to get some of the security signs

If your that concerned with security and being cheap, for just over 200 Mossberg has your solution. I may be a snob, but you won't find a high point in my gun safe. They actually recommend in the manual that you do not clean the firearm other than just the barrell, and you can not take it apart without a punch. You honestly get what you pay for when it comes to firearms.
