Gun History


 

After reading the following historical facts,

read the part about Switzerland, twice.


In 1929, the 

 Soviet Union established gun control.  From 1929!

to 1953, about 20,000,000 dissidents, unable to defend

themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control.  From 1915 to 1917,

1..5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were
rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945,
a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend
themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------

China established gun control in 1935.  From 1948 to 1952, 20
million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were
rounded up and exterminated

Guatemala established gun control in 1964.  From 1964 to 1981,
100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were
rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970.  From 1971 to 1979,
300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded
up and exterminated
------------------------------

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977,
one million educated people, unable to defend themselves,
were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th
Century because of gun control: 56,000,000!!!

It has now been 16 months since gun owners in Australia
were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms 
to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing
Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.  The first
year statistics are now in: 

Australia-wide:  Homicides are up 3.2 percent.

Australia-wide:  Assaults are up 8.6 percent.

Australia-wide:  Armed robberies are up 44 percent..

Victoria-wide:  Homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent.
                        (Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned
                        them in, the criminals did not, so criminals still
                        possess their guns!)

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady
decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed
drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now
are guaranteed that their prey are unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and
assaults of the ELDERLY.  Australian politicians are at a loss to
explain how public safety has decreased, after such
monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully
ridding Australian society of guns.  The Australian experience
and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the U.S. evening news,
or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property
and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding
citizens..

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please
remind them of this history lesson.

With guns, we are 'citizens.'
Without them, we are 'subjects'.

During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America
because they knew most Americans were ARMED!

message to all of your friends and relatives

The purpose of fighting is to win.  There is no possible victory
in defense.  The sword is more important than the shield, and
skill is more important than either.  No weapon can be properly
used or wielded without the brain.

I'm curious if you (or anyone) can provide a citation of the exact numbers of violent crimes before and after the ban. Not that I'm doubting the info, I just like to have such specific info cited rather than having such information as anecdotal and internet hearsay.

These stats don't quite tell the whole story. Most of these countries didn't actually start "gun control" measures in one year and then go about their extermination. For example, Germany started in 1919 and the laws were already in place when Hitler came to power. It just made it that much easier to maintain control. Cambodia, in 1938, followed by the genocides by various factions starting in the late 1960s.

Point being, the SHTF doesn't happen overnight. The governments were slowly hacking away at the citizen's power long before an evil dictator came in. According to the book, "Death by Gun Control", the total number of victims of genocide by government in the 20th century: 170,000,000.

The number of deaths under Mao was more like 40,000,000 and even that is a low estimate.

Now if that was not scary enough... lets listen to the words of current White House "czar," Ronald Bloom who shares his views on economic policy, ideology and politics stating "We know that the free market is nonsense...we know this is largely about power...we kind of agree with Mao that political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun..."

Sad thing is, these numbers only reflect those that were counted, in place where people care. You know the numbers have to be way higher.

It's probably just hard to count that high too. I mean when you're killing fellow Cambodians at a rate eight times higher than that of the Nazis. Or, as you said, they just don't care, like in the "Rape of Nanking", when even the Nazis were disturbed at how brutal the Japanese were being to the fleeing Chinese.

This should have something more specific on the history of gun control in the US. Gun control has a rather racist history to it.

For a more recent and pertinent history, just look up "1934 Firearms Control Act", "1968 Gun Control Act", and "1994 Assault Weapon Ban". Also note which party was in power at the time.

"1934 Firearms Control Act" - FDR ~ Democrat
"1968 Gun Control Act" - LBJ (Lyndon B. Johnson) ~ Democrat
"1994 Assault Weapon Ban" - WJC (Bill Clinton) ~ Democrat

Of course, this does not get Republicans completely off the hook...
