Georgetown has banned firearms in city parks (in signage, not ordinance). One facility is The Pavilion which is a workout/swim facility. To tell you the truth, I wasn't initially going to fight the ban because, well, I've really had no desire to carry there (yeah, I know, irrelevant). When I found out the Parks Dept. meetings were held there, I decided to address this issue with them.
Anyway, after they consulted with the city attorney, they agreed to change the signage! They weren't happy about it, but they don't need to be.
