"Demolition Man" is pretty much the way things already are in certain areas--parts of CA, MD, NY, IL and DC...

So the future can only hold more of the above, unless people decide they don't want to be sheeple any more...

I think they're pretty close to what WILL happen in the event of a currency crisis... of course, it will occur similarly, but at a slower pace since a currency crisis won't immediately result in massive disease outbreak... but as soon as people's money no longer works... hunger will set in with 40,000,000 people who are on Food Stamps... and once that 40 million gets desperate.... food riots will ensue... civil order will break down and huge numbers of deaths will occur from the riots... and in some cases, due to regional famines. When services break down... water will no longer be treated in many areas resulting in dysentery and cholera which will result in weakened immune systems which will result in massive outbreaks of disease that normally can be kept in check.

This is coming... even if it isn't coming in the form of an ACTUAL pandemic... it is coming in the form of a government that can no longer meet its obligations to its huge number of dependents. So many people cannot take care of themselves and will become a danger rather than just a burden once things break down.
