I've just recently started carrying my 1911 in its holster around the house, figuring it would be better to have it close rather than in the safe. It looks like this man had the same idea, and it may have saved his life. This is only about 7 miles away from where I live as well, which is pretty eye-opening.

A gun on your hip is worth more than a safe full of weapons in the other room....especially when you meet a prowler in your hallway at midnight! Some people will finally learn that sheepdogs, those of us who refuse to be sheep, NEVER go unarmed!

I only take mine off when sons unusually skiddish girlfriend comes over. other than that everyone that comes over feels like they are in the safest house in the neighborhood. Even my visiting church missionaries think it's great and want to see the rest of the collection. So praise the lord and pass the ammunition.
