...Jerry Brown...has disappointed many death penalty foes, consumer advocates and gun control proponents who hoped he would support their causes...

Brown has angered gun control proponents, especially when he urged the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Chicago's handgun ban. "I have respect for the Second Amendment," said Brown, who owns three guns and targets shoots occasionally on his ranch east of Chico, Calif. "Gun ownership is a fundamental right."..

"Some people on the outside say government should do everything
," Brown said during a Christmas Eve interview in his downtown Oakland office . "Well that is an endless expansion of government and I don't believe in that. You have limits.
Brown also takes credit for
slashing $100 million from the attorney general's annual budget,
which was $750 million last year.

I would be cautious of anything JB says to garner a vote.

We're still suffering from his last terms as governor... I would say vote for a liberty-minded candidate.

Jerry Brown can say gun ownership is a fundamental right all he wants. If fact, he's supposed to! However, just because he gets one thing right and everything else wrong does not mean he'll get my vote.

I expect more from my elected representatives. I expect them to uphold and defend the Constitution.I expect them to fulfill their sworn verbal oaths of office.I expect them to defend liberty. That is the given. That is the non-negotiable. Everything else is subject to my opinion (and everyone elses). Everything else is the differentiating factor. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights should not even be part of the equation. Those parts are supposed to be the given. Those are the parts that are so fundamental the we shouldn't even be discussing them. Like discussing taxation on the air we breath!

"He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself." -- Thomas Paine

Where was Jerry Brown in expressing his outrage over AB1934?!

Why didn't he hold a press conference stating how this bill violates a fundamental individual right?!

Why didn't he give an opinion on the legality of the bill?!

Where is Jerry Brown now on this bill????????

Amen.

Even if he turned out to be a staunch 2A supporter (which i do not believe he will for a moment), his love for AB32 and various other leftist wealth-redistribution schemes will hurt us badly.

I am not going to vote for Meg the RINO Whitman, either. I'll be voting Libertarian. And if Dale Ogden doesn't win, that will be because of too many other people willing to sacrifice their supposed principles ust so that they can assure themselves they're voting for "someone who will win" as opposed to someone who actually represents them.

I can't tell you who to vote for. I would suggest someone from the American Independent party or Libertarian party. The R's here call themselves "California Republicans" and the D's here are way off the deep end in socialist-progressive ideology.

How fast we get RKBA in CA post McDonald will be determined proportionally to how many bad laws are vetoed. Meg "ban guns from e-bay" Whitman will not be that governor. JB is the only pro Civil Right KBA choice that will have any bearing on RKBA in your lifetime.
