I thought GA was an OC state without a permit. Do you need a permit ot OC?Too bad Jim Crow lives on through the newly-revamped 16-11-126!
In Georgia, I still need a stickin' Permit to Carry a Pistol, although I prefer Long Guns to Pistols.
Sigh...
Better than nothing, I guess...
Hopefully, though, and one day soon, we will join the majority of The Nation of this issue.

My understanding is that you must have a permit issued by your state before PA will issue a non resident permit.
(e)(1) A license to carry a firearm shall be for the purpose of carrying a firearm concealed on or about one's person or in a vehicle and shall be issued if, after an investigation not to exceed 45 days, it appears that the applicant is an individual concerning whom no good cause exists to deny the license. A license shall not be issued to any of the following:
(ix) A resident of another state who does not possess a current license or permit or similar document to carry a firearm issued by that state if a license is provided for by the laws of that state, as published annually in the Federal Register by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms of the Department of the Treasury under 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(19) (relating to definitions).
I am from SC and have a SC and a NH permit so I assume the the NH permit works in GA. I got the NH permit primarily for GA but strangely since I have had it I have not been to GA. I am not sure why but I was thinking that GA did not require a permit to OC so thanks for letting me know. I am not for any kind of federal cwp at all but I think that states should be more uniform in gun laws. Even the suttle differences are amazing not to mention the major differences. Things like you can carry a gun all you want but just can't have any ammo nearby are crazy.
