Yes, I wonder that myself.

The velocity seems too fast for a 45 acp.

CCI 300s are Large pistol primers. The 40 S&W uses small pistol.

The OAL is too short for 10 mm.

A bullet weight would help.

Must be either special brass or some other cartridge.

This is all a guess though.

Lead RN 230 grain 45 cal in front of 4.5 gr of bullseye. Won't knock a tree down but it will stay in a tight group as long as I can hold the gun steady.

HMM, that's a short round. Anywho, bullet weight would also be good since it effects the powder charge needed and the pressure.

Hand-loads for pets? Why go to all the trouble? I find 9mm works just fine for anything up to Mastiff size... oh. Wait a minute. I think I may have read that wrong...?
