I purchased it a couple of months ago and right now its just sitting around and I wanna carry it around. i am just confused as to whether or not i am allowed to. I read all the laws concerning knives in virginia and henrico but i am still partially confused.

On OCDO, when we say something is illegal, we cite the law. I think you need to find 50 of them.

Legality and distribution
In Canada, brass knuckles or any similar devices are listed as prohibited weapons,[3][/suP] and possession of such weapon is a criminal offence under the Criminal Code of Canada.[4][/suP]

In France, however, purchase and possession of brass knuckles is legal for 16 year-olds with parental permission, and are freely sold to people of legal age.[citation needed][/suP] The French term is 'un coup-de-poing américain', literally 'an American punch'.[5][/suP]

Brass knuckles are illegal in Britain, Sweden, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands, carrying significant jail sentences and fines for possession of a dangerous weapon.[citation needed][/suP]

Brass knuckles can normally be purchased at flea markets, swap meets, and some sword and weapon shops legally. Due to a shady reputation, they have been sold in at least one case affixed with a detachable screw allowing them to be sold as a belt buckle.[6][/suP] Devices that are made of hardened plastic, rather than metal, exist. Some are marketed as "undetectable by airport metal detectors."[7][/suP]

In United States, brass knuckles of any material are not legal and therefore cannot be sold to people in any of the 50 states.

In Alabama, code section 13A-11-53 makes the concealment of brass knuckles illegal, but I don't know of a code section that makes possession illegal. Do you?

So, you cited the law in CA, and metal knuckles are illegal. I posted a law from AL and it seems that only concealing them is illegal. Have you done any research on the other 48 States?

i read that and it talks about it concealed. What about if it isnt concealed.
If there is no law that says it's illegal, then it isn't. I can't find one, but I wouldn't take my word for it. There is only one way to find out... strap it on and go walk-about.
