And I don't just mean leftist havens of fascism like the Washington Post or MSNBC. I mean ALL the mainstream media--Fox and the Washington Times included...

What they don't want you to know is that the FBI has issued 2 reports in the last 10 years that pretty much CONCLUSIVELY prove that:

  1. criminals are NOT effected by firearms laws
  2. strong firearms laws DO NOT make it more difficult for criminals to acquire firearms,
  3. almost ALL firearms used by criminals were gotten through illegal means--mostly theft, or buying them illegally from thieves, or through staw purchases--NONE of which are effected by gun laws...
  4. almost NONE of the firearms used by violent criminals were purchased at gun shows, and the few tha tare, are usually bought in staw purchases anyway, so they would be unaffected by stricter "gun control" laws...
Why haven't these reports been blazen ALL over the 2A world. EVERYONE who claims to be an "activist" should either have these reports on their bookshelf or at least download the PDFs and read (and re-read, and memorize) them.

In August of 2006, the FBI published a 176 page report entitled "Violent Encounters: A Study of Felonious Assaults on Our Nation's Law Enforcement Officers". You can order a hard copy directly from the FBI's information center in Clarksburg, WV at:

http://www.ncjrs.gov/app/QA/Detail.aspx?Id=1076&context=9

Or you can download a set of PDFs from CalGunLaws.com here:

http://calgunlaws.com/index.php/articles-memoranda-and-commentary/78-commentary/418.html

The FBI also has a website with more detailed research on this topic at this address:

http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/killed/2005/index.htm

Where you can download PDFs, and also do all sort of searches and generate your own reports and tables...

It's funny, when some BS propaganda mill puts out a report in support of the Brady Bunch, that is completely fabricated from whole cloth, the media quotes it like it is the Word of G*d, even after there are dozens of reputable reports released publicly that disprove it.

But when there are TWO reports--done by the nation's top LE organization, involving some of teh most respected criminologists in the world, that COMPLETELY dismantles the anti-gun arguments and discredits EVERYTHING they say, it is quietly swept under the rug...

Don't believe the media. They are NOT your friends...

What the media does not want us to know?It is kinda funny, actually.

Who needs an FBI report to know that gun laws don't affect criminals? Why bother to suppress the FBI reports?

Jes' about the only value in the FBI reports is that a pro-gunner could point to them and say, "Look, even the FBI knows gun laws are useless." But, remember, it would be a light-weight argument because nobody really needs an FBI study to know that gun laws don't affect criminals.

Is the media so far gone that they worry about suppressing such inconsequential things? (rhetorical question)
