    i have never seen it my self with a firearm but in downtown vegas i did see a homeless person carrying a ring of razor wire in his hand

    None of the homeless that I know/encounter/converse with carry for a number of reasons: 1) many of them need the $$ more than the protection of the gun (certain diseases scare off potential attackers); 2) some actually are aware that their felony record makes them prohibitted persons and they value their freedom more than the security of 3 hots & a cot for 10+ years; and 3) the shelters do not allow guns and it's difficult finding a safe storage (hiding) place, plus having a gun amongst your goods just means you ought to be that much more careful about keeping an eye on your stuff, which raises the suspicions of everyone else that you have something of real value which means they will try that much harder to steal from you.
