well after months of discussion (friendly ridicule) with a couple of OCers at work I took my Glock 27 for a walk for the first time. After researching grip stippling for polymer guns I decided to pick up a new soldering iron and a few other parts to give it a go on some old AR15 grips that are laying around. so off to Ace Hardware in LaCrosse I went. while there I was nosing around in the hardware isle and I could hear two employees chatting behind me.

employee 1) hey, that guy's got a gun on his hip

    employee 2) yeah

employee 1) can he do that?

    employee 2) yup

employee 1) when did that start?

employee 2)I don't know... when Wisconsin became a state.

it was a quiet outing otherwise. It wasn't nearly as hard to make it part of the routine as I thought it would be.

Flash Gordon you are awesome. Looks like you gave two store workers something to talk about at break, how cool. They will no doubt tell friends and family of their experience, the word getting out. Welcome to the cool club. Carry on.

Haha, that made me laugh. Funny they were talking about you and you could hear it.

    Congrats on your first time!

Very good first trip. This is what exercising our rights is all about. Those flacid, seldom used muscles (constitutional rights) are starting to get beyond the "I am not used to this" stage, and starting to develop some useful power.

    Excellent.

    Nice job!

Just remember as you become more comfortable with OC, remain dilligent on being aware of what is going on around you at all times. Along with comfort comes complacency. Be aware of your surroundings always.
