DISCLOSE Act Vote TOMORROW - Act Now
The time to act is now! The liberals in Congress are poised to take back your freedom of speech which was recently partially restored by the US Supreme Court and the NRA is helping them. HR 5175, the DISCLOSE Act, is slated for a vote tomorrow.
The Blue Dog Democrats in this state (and we suspect others) are feeling the heat. Let's not allow them any rest yet. Keep the pressure on. As we have learned, any chance of keeping any of our rights must be fought one vote at a time as the current liberal leadership of Speaker Nancy Pelosi and pals doesn't seem to really care what you think or how it will play in November. The same is less likely to be true for individual representatives in vulnerable districts. Let them know that there will be a price to pay for anybody who votes to muzzle you.
As we have told you, HR 5175, the DISCLOSE Act is designed to muzzle GOA, CCRKBA and all other gun rights groups, however; the NRA has had their initial resistance alleviated by a special deal brokered by Rep. HEATH SHULER, who carved out a special exemption designed to all this political speech for the NRA alone.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED
* Volunteer to help put the pressure on Shuler this weekend in Western NC. Contact Paul Valone at: 704-907-9206
* Take a three tier approach. Those in each tier are listed below. First, we want you to contact the Blue Dog Democrats who are vulnerable in the next election. Along with them is the one NC Republican to throw in with them. Second, contact the remaining Democrats. Then only after that, please call the Republicans. Let them all know that you are watching and will not smile on any such vote for HR 5175 when you go to the polls in November. Do this FIRST THING in the morning.
* Then contact the NRA officials listed below the politicians again and let them know that increasing their power so they are the proverbial "Last Man Standing" does not represent the good of gun owners.
