Depending on what options are enabled, the tenor here will likely change. IIRC vBulletin has the option of friend/ignore lists.

I can just imagine all the NRA 'members' cluster-upping together.

If you need help, i am experienced with forum migrations.

I am the admin of a local jeep club (middle peninsula jeep association inc.) and we moved from PBB to Vbulletin about 2 years ago. I am well versed in FTP and the Vbulletin software if you need it.

shoot me an email if you have any issues or find your forehead meeting your keyboard at higher than normal velocities.:lol: Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

Its an attempt to keep the forum focused and on topic.

Cartoons, pictures, over abundant use of smileys, etc. can contribute to wandering away for the main thrust of a thread, distracting to a serious reader of the forum (even sometimes when illustrating a point). They are fun, good when used appropriately - one such way is to clarify emotion or intent of a poster.

I'm not suggesting censorship or reduction carte blanche of any of the above - only explaining what I think Doug likely meant - and yah I do agree with him. ymmv

The forum owners have been tolerant of a little light hearted frivolity - thank goodness, because I myself have been guilty of that. :?
