If the photos of Michelle with her girls doesn't demonstrate normalcy, I'm not sure anything will.

Interesting article, although it does seem to lean rather more to the anti-gun establishment.

Hmmm....wonder why they chose to interview OC'rs as opposed to CCW folks. Seems like maybe they were going for shock value. An interesting article though.

because open carry IS the story - concealed carriers? Who are they, some sort of secret society?

CCers are not a secret society, but a society with secrets Anyhow,,yes OC is the story!! There are times when CC is best but mostly OC needs to be brought to the forefront. I don't believe there was any mention during"the right to keep and bear arms" stated HOW to bear them.

If only Texas allowed open carry, it'd make the ladies like Caitlin easier to spot.

You did a fine job of raising her, I wish more parents were like you.

Nothing negative was meant, only that my experiences with women were not as nice. I was just impressed. You both deserve praise.

My daughter would like to talk to other female OCers. Are any of these ladies also regular posters on OCDO?

Your welcome. :-) My friend Carrie was in the Article. The going to "Starbucks" was the authors embellishment.. maybe the other girls went but Carrie said no as this was right after Starbucks said they wanted to stay out of the fight and gun owners agreed.
    Carry On.

Meaning they'll allow anyone and everyone who's carrying...

    ...but this open carry thing
bothers me. I go to Starbucks every day
and I don’t feel safe if I see someone carry-
    ing a gun. I don’t know if that person’s a
good or a bad person, or a well-intentioned
person who’s just having a bad day...

Those always make me laugh haha. So you are completely fine with the fact there are good people and bad people that walk around with them not in the open? You feel safer then?

    Here's my entry:

Yesterday I saw my first gun.
It was hung on the side of a man
He looked so normal I could hardly definine "normal"
but there it hung, and he'll stand.

Print that on your t-shirts. Smirk.
