I searched around and it seems they Are anti but the store is not posted. Since they serve alchohol I assume o.c only until the new law passes. Anyone have any experience there?

I've been before with no problems... I think before the date this thread was made though:

I haven't been in a long time and don't really have a need to. There are other, less pricey places and not to mention farmer's markets, for better tasting stuff.

With the exception of the Charlottesville store, all other Whole Foods have a restaurant license so you can only OC (until July 1)

Are we trying to resurect that old canard again? Just because a place has a restaurant license does not mean the entire premises is "the restaurant". The ABC Board requires that the area where alcoholic benerages can be purchased and consumed be clearly delineated - either by lines painted on the floor, stanchions with rope/tape, or fencing/barriers. That some places do not comply with the regs does not eliminate the fact that aisle 17B where they stock Cheerios is NOT part of te restaurant.

As long as you stay out of the designated area, any form of carry is permissable by law. As to Whole Foods' policy, that remains a mystery to me.

And if ProShooter was trying to restrict his comments to carry in the designated area only, he needs to state that clearly to avoid confusion. As you can see, I was easily confused.

stay safe.

Hmm. There are multiple counters that serve alchohol seafood, BBQ, sushi, and wine/chees spread through about half the store. Do each of these have seperAte licenses... You know what it doesn't matter because the upcoming law change.

I will admit the place is a bit snobby - prius heavy parkinglot- but It is seriously like Disney world for fatties I just love the food!

I thought that the designated area part was a given that was already understood.

I certainly never want to add to your heightened level of befuddlement, Skid :)

Never been in one, so I have no idea if you are saying that there are multiple places where one can purchase alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption, or just that there are multiple places to buy food plus one place to buy/consume booze. And even if there are multiple places to buy/consume booze they could be covered by a single license. In any case they need to be clearly marked off as per the VAC cited previously. As long as I'm outside the restricted area I can do what I please as regards carry.

Sounds like I'll have to go. Anyone willing to escort a grumpy Olde Phart to make sure I don't get lost or thrown out for being not socially appropriate?

stay safe.
