Fair time again in Salem

I live pretty close to the fair in Salem. I was out for a walk this evening, passed two carnies on their way to the quickie-mart.

Carnie, from about ten feet past me: "You are not carrying a gun are you?!"

Me: "Absolutely."

Carnie: "You got a license to carry?"

Me: "Nope. Don't need one in Virginia."

Carnie: <pause> "That's great. I'm moving here!"

Public education and outreach mission accomplished.

Good to hear of your interactions Mr. Perdue! I've had quite a few good interactions over the past month or so up here in Lynchburg. Nothing like having more evidence that open carry helps to educates the masses.
