Hello, I made a most not to long ago on these boards, I cannot seem to find it, otherwise I would have just added a reply.
I have briefly read through some of the laws etc. on the state government's site and I have one question that remains unanswered, and it protains to non resident carry. I realize that my SC CCP is valid in VA but can a non resident like me or the people whom I will be with (some do not have a CCP) open carry (were it is legal to do so obviously). I have not seen anything saying no, so I am running off the assumption that we would be fine.

Thanks for your time.

VA law doesn't say what you can do. It only says what you can't do.

Residency issues only concern licensing. Since it is not illegal to OC in VA, there is no licensing involved.

So YES YOU CAN OC everywhere a VA resident can. It's not 'legal' however as VA law doesn't give you permission to do it. Properly OC is 'not illegal.'

That's what I gathered from doing a little bit of research, was just wanted to cover my bases.

Thanks guys.
