Open Carry now enjoys the Protection of the Civil Rights act of 1866, 1871 and Ttile 42 Section 1983

OCers have not been able to sue anyone except feds and DC for deprevation of rights under the 2A until MacDonald. Now abusers can be sued in Federal Court for deprevation of rights. Yipee!!!!

Hopefully aggressive suits against the worst offenders whose careers and livelihood are threatened by the consequences of their discriminatory actions will temper the actions of those that have the intelligence to learn from the mistakes of the worst offenders.

This works when the abusive government ditz fears a civil rights lawsuit more than the armed LAC.

Welcome to the World of Section 1983

It comes with the good, such as attorneys fees under 42 USC section 1988, and the bad, such as all of the many defenses made up by the conservative majority on the Supreme Court.

Hopefully, gun rights activists start paying closer attention to this stuff.
