Comp-Tac or Blade Tech Paddle Kydex?

I currently own a Serpa for an M&P (fullsize, 9mm) and I'd like to try a different Kydex OWB paddle holster - something without the external retention button. I've narrowed down the search to Comp-Tac's 'Settable' and Blade Tech's 'Paddle'.

I do want a smaller print factor (Serpa juts out just a bit) and I'd like to use it for future IDPA events.

If you own either if these, what do you think about them and which would you recommend?

I can't say that I'd go with the Comp-Tac over the Blade Tech. There is a lot out there about them going bad over the long haul where the paddle meets the main body of the the holster.

Of course, when I read most of those stories they are always concluded with a statement that the company readily replaced it, even out of warranty. I don't know much about Blade Tech after-sale customer service.

I personally prefer the Comp-Tac because I have found it comfortable and the company has been great to deal with. It took a few weeks to get my CTAC for my PPS, but when I took it out of the box, it was perfectly tensioned and doesn't print at all, plus it has a very smooth draw.

I got a Bladetech holster for free with my FNP40. Been wearing it on and off for the last year, no complaints. Also own a Comp-tac holster for my PF9, it is a good quality holster.

I'll throw out another vote for the comp-tac. I have a few and they are great holsters. They're a good company to deal with, good customer service.
