I knew this would happen, but I'm pleasantly surprised by the speed. Is there a link to the complaint anywhere? I want to see if they are going to file a federal civil rights lawsuit with the fee-shifting provisions. If they do, and win, that'll make other cities back down very fast.

What a waste of taxpayers money!

Does Daley thinks he's some kind of mafioso and that he is above the law?

Who wants to bet that even after the Court rules against the city, Daley is going to push for other things in order to circumvent the law?

May Daley's salary? Yes. The taxpayers' dollars which went to fight this conflict contrary to our Constitutional rights? Also, yes.

His position and actions indicate he may just believe he's Judge Dredd.

No bet.

Who wants to bet that when the people of Chicago come to realize those of us in open carry states have far less crime than they do, they'll also realize they've been lied to, duped even, and they'll start pushing Daley out of office?

Then again, how can I say that? Mayor Daley might actually believe the chaff he's spewing. If so, he's not lying at all, but merely and unintentionally spreading information that's grossly in error.
