Saw this today and thought it would be great if some OCers got on the board.
"The Metro Police Citizen Review Board is asking citizens who can objectively review Internal Affairs Investigations and complaints filed against Metro officers to apply to serve on the 25-member Citizen Review Board. Applications will be accepted through August 30. To apply for one of the vacancies, you must be a resident of Clark County or the City of Las Vegas, cannot have any felony convictions, cannot be an elected official, cannot be a peace officer or former peace officer employed by Metro or a close relative of a current or former officer. The volunteer position does not require police or investigative skills. Currently there is one city vacancy and one county vacancy. To apply for a vacancy go to the Citizen’s Review Board website at www.citizenreviewboard.com."
